What we offer at Steppingstones wellbeing 

 

Stepping Stones Wellbeing is a dedicated counselling service located on the Limestone Coast. We provide support for individuals navigating challenging times, with a particular focus on children, adolescents, and families living with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, co-complex trauma, and substance use challengers.

 

Karmyn Smith, the founder of Stepping Stones Wellbeing, deeply understands the unique challenges that come with neurodiversity. As someone who navigates life with neurodiverse experiences herself and raises children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD, she truly empathises with the struggles many families face. With her extensive background as a child and adolescent therapist and an alcohol and other drugs counsellor, coupled with her personal journey, Karmyn is dedicated to supporting others on this path with compassion and insight.

 

Our goal is to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with autism. Through our programs and community initiatives, we aim to raise awareness and promote understanding of autism while equipping our clients with the necessary tools and resources to reach their full potential.

Anxiety, Depression.

Substance misuse and addiction.

 

Social skills development,

Assistance with sensory processing challengers

Emotional regulation.

 

Co-regulation.

Community engagement.

Decreasing Isolation support.

Should our clients require further support outside of our scope of practices, we offer a referral service to further support our client’s journey while still providing ongoing support to ensure that our client are being supported through the referral process and continue to reassess their needs.

 

 

Stepping Stones Wellbeing and the Oatmill Cinema complex have joined forces to offer inclusive and exhilarating sensory sessions for both children and adults.

With lowered audio and lighting settings, you can fully immerse yourself in the big screen without being overwhelmed by sensory overstimulation. This unique and delightful experience is open to all, and we welcome you to join us.

Littles Pebbles workshop

 

Stepping Stones Wellbeing has put together a wonderful workshop that takes a look at autism in early childhood.

This information workshop has been created by Karmyn with her own personal experiences of raising children on the spectrum. With Karmyn's professional and personal knowledge this workshop is filled with love, empathy and understanding for those parents, caregivers and educators who are raising and supporting these special little children.
